Colour: A deep crimson with brick red hues
Nose: Ripe blackcurrant, spices and mint chocolate are complemented by classic cool-climate tobacco leaf notes and toasty vanillin French oak.
Palate: A complex, intense palate of plums, blackberry, mint and chocolate-coated coffee beans. A mid palate of velvety tannins and fine-grained spicy French oak lead to a lingering mocha finish.
Cellar note: Drink now or cellar up to 10 years
Food pairing: The wine pairs very well with elegant meat dishes like roasted beef or a casserole. It will also good well with moderate Chinese dishes like the Peking style cuisine.
Our view: This is a typical Bordeaux blend and the wine shows many similarities with the better Bordeaux wines, though we think that this wine is more approachable. The result is an elegant but full bodied wine that is just great!
