Colour: Deep golden yellow
Nose: Pear and rose petals aroma
Palate: Well balanced with lively acid, some pear and rose petal flavours. Fine varietal flavours enhanced by some nuttiness from the chardonnay and a lifted Semillon aroma, good length.
Cellar note: The wine has been cellared for 3 years before released, so it is at its peak at the moment. It could cellar for another 3 years.
Food pairing: This is a typical food wine and will go well with grilled seafood and grilled white meat dishes. It will also be good company with Munster cheese.
Our view: A ‘big’ white wine with a distinctive oak character, made by the personal preference of the winemaker.
An excellent value for money if you appreciate this style of wine.
