Colour: Dark deep red with purple hues
Nose: A pleasant bouquet with forest fruit and subtle hints of pepper
Palate: Rich and balanced showing ripe fruit aromas of pepper, plum and chocolate. The taste is rounded and long with the fruit sweetness balanced by fine oak tannins.
Cellar note: This wine is to be enjoyed now or keep it for another 5 years in a proper wine storage.
Food pairing: This wine goes well with grilled meat or a gamey casserole.
Our view: This is a more complex and smoother style Shiraz compared with Shiraz from South Australia. It’s fruit received a ‘royal’ treatment in the winery, including 14 months on oak. This wine brings that extra enjoyment the winemaker had in mind, a solid wine and a great value for money.
